Seitan Roast

Ingredients

  • 500g seitan
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery stalks
  • ½ glass of wine
  • 2 dcl vegetable broth
  • a handful of herbs (rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, pepper)
  • 2 potatoes

Instruction

  1. Cut the onion, carrots, and celery into medium chunks (no need for fine chopping).
  2. Heat a pan with a little oil and fry the seitan on all sides for a short time.
  3. Remove the seitan from the pan and fry the vegetables in the same pan.
  4. Sauté the vegetables for a few minutes, then add the wine and let it evaporate.
  5. Add the broth (which should cover the vegetables) and the herbs, and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Add seitan and potatoes and let it cook for another 30 minutes.
